Job summary

NESsT USA is seeking an independent consultant or design studio to develop the visual concept, editorial layout, and final production files for an 80–120 page, photography-driven coffee table book.

The project is remote with deadlines Nov 2–Dec 11, 2026 and requires strong publication design credentials, experience with long-form books, and the ability to deliver print-ready and digital files. Applicants should demonstrate nonprofit/impact background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in publication or editorial design.
• Advanced proficiency in InDesign and Creative Cloud.
• Experience with long-form, multi-section print publications.
• Strong typography, photography, pacing, and page composition.
• Experience with production-file prep, color management, and prepress.

Responsibilities

• Develop visual and editorial design system with representative layouts.
• Design 80–120 page publication including covers and front/back matter.
• Integrate photography, captions, credits, impact data, and brand assets.
• Create publication-ready charts, maps, timelines, and callouts using NESsT data.
• Flow and copyfit the English manuscript and incorporate revisions during reviews.
• Prepare final print-ready and digital files.
