Job summary

Univision Communications, Inc in Miami is seeking a full-time Television Editor & Photographer to shoot and edit news and events for TV productions, both live and recorded. You will edit material to scripts, shoot breaking news, and provide field visuals for social platforms, while setting up LiveU and ENG equipment.

You must have at least 1 year of experience, be fluent in Spanish, and know AVID, Premiere, Final Cut, and LiveU.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of television cameraman/editor experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
• Must know P2 and XD cameras.
• Familiar with AVID, Premiere and Final Cut.
• Knowledge of LiveU technology.
• Experience covering live developing news.
• Experience with television news networks.

Responsibilities

• Edit material to match scripts using non-linear editing on our facilities or via mobile equipment from remote locations.
• Shoot and edit assigned and breaking news stories using ENG camera and non-linear editing equipment, with or without a reporter.
• Provide pictures and short videos from the field for Social Media platforms; set up microwave ENG trucks and LiveU equipment.
• Assist video editor in editing and preparing video for newscasts using server-based editing and playback system.
• Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Perform routine maintenance and light troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
• Upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station’s website when needed.
• Monitor scanners in vehicles from news stories.
• Shoot and edit special assignments and series as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

TelevisaUnivision in Miami is looking for a full-time Television Editor & Photographer to join our team! Individuals in this role will shoot video and audio of news and other events for TV productions, both live and recorded.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Edit material to match scripts using non-linear, computer-based editing on our facilities, or via mobile equipment from remote locations.
• Shoot and edit assigned and breaking news stories using ENG camera and non-linear editing equipment, with or without reporter.
• Provide pictures and short/snap videos from the field for our Social Media platforms. Set up and operate microwave ENG trucks, as well as Live U equipment.
• Assist video editor/acquisitions in editing and preparing video for newscasts as assigned, using server-based editing and playback system.
• Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and light troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
• Might be required to upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station’s website.
• Monitor scanners in vehicles from news stories.
• Shoot and edit special assignments and series as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
