In this role you will be creating highly sharable original content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. We’re looking for someone who has a versatile production and post background with a deep passion for digital content. Candidates must have experience in conceptualizing and executing short and long form video content, creating eye-catching graphic elements, and an understanding of the entire production process from start to finish. The content you create will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to crime, politics, sports, entertainment, food, travel, and internet favorites like cute kids and kittens. You should come to this role with an immense curiosity about the world around you, as well as visual storytelling skills to capture the attention of audiences of all ages. To succeed in this role, you must be well-versed in the language of the internet, hyperaware of social trends, and possess the ability to articulate a creative vision

Responsibilities

  • Attend daily content strategy sessions and pitch original digital content for our O&O sites and socials
  • Collaborate with assigned producers to research and gather all necessary creative materials for approved projects
  • Work independently to assemble and edit assigned content through all stages of post-production and the review process.
  • Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and create motion graphics to deliver high-quality content.
  • Make informed editorial decisions around content, episode length, and metadata, optimizing show for maximum audience growth
  • Work in coordination with Creative Service to develop and design social graphics that maintain brand guidelines through all video and social content
  • Advise on workflows to ensure production efficiency; educate both internal and external teams on best practices
  • Keep up with latest trends, software updates, and platform changes to help drive innovative ways to create new content

Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in all aspects of video production and post production including shooting, lighting, sound recording & editing, and ability to operate all associated equipment.
  • Highly skilled across Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Premiere Rush, Photoshop, After Effects, etc), and other creative software
  • Strong understanding of video editing techniques and storytelling
  • Demonstrated experience in motion graphics and creating social media video content
  • Proficiency in designing still graphics, including thumbnails and infographics
  • An eye for quality content, with an understanding of what plays well across various channels
  • This position requires impeccable spelling and grammar, a deep understanding of social media trends and what works on each platform, vertical video editing skills, and the ability to capture well composed videos on a phone
  • Must be highly motivated, extremely organized, and come to the position with a uniquely creative mind
  • Flexibility to travel and work nights and/or weekends, as projects call for

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $33.50 to $43.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
