Crossway is looking for a full-time academic book editor to manage the editorial process for book projects. You will collaborate closely with the Editorial team to ensure content excellence and theological faithfulness in all manuscripts.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in relevant fields and demonstrated copyediting experience. Familiarity with biblical languages is a plus. On-site work is preferred, but remote options are negotiable.
Crossway is a not-for-profit publisher of Christian books, the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible, and other gospel literature. The purpose of Crossway is to publish gospel-centered, Bible-centered content that will honor our Savior and serve his Church. We seek to help people understand the massive implications of the gospel and the truth of God’s Word, for all of life, for all eternity, and for the glory of God.
The academic book editor will serve Crossway’s publishing ministry by copyediting book manuscripts and managing the editorial process for those book projects through the editing, typesetting, proofreading, and indexing stages. He or she will strive to ensure excellence of content, beauty of expression, and theological faithfulness. The editor will work under and closely with the vice president of Editorial and the director of Editorial, and will collaborate with the rest of the Book Department team (including Editorial and Acquisitions colleagues), the Production team, and other Crossway colleagues as needed.
