Job summary

WatchTime in New York seeks an Editor with editorial prowess and a deep understanding of the luxury watch industry. This hands-on role spans breaking news, hands-on reviews, interviews, on-camera appearances, and social-first content across print, digital, video, and events.

You will publish high-quality editorial content, develop content plans, and collaborate with editorial, events, and commercial teams to grow audiences and strengthen the brand globally while maintaining local relevance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in editorial, digital publishing, social media, video production, or a related content role, preferably within an international media organization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with ability to produce on-brand content across formats.
  • Solid understanding of digital publishing, audience development, and content performance across websites and social media.
  • Confident on-camera presence with experience presenting, interviewing, or hosting video and live content.

Responsibilities

  • Create and publish engaging, high-quality editorial content across WatchTime's print, digital, social, video, and event platforms, bringing a distinctive editorial perspective.
  • Develop and execute content plans that ensure consistent, timely, and audience-focused publishing across all channels.
  • Identify emerging trends, news, and storytelling opportunities relevant to the global watch and luxury industries.
  • Contribute ideas that support the continued growth and evolution of the WatchTime brand across all media platforms
  • Adapt global editorial content for local audiences while producing original stories that drive readership, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Meet editorial and production deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and proofreading.
  • Represent WatchTime at industry events, trade shows, brand meetings, and WatchTime-owned events, including on-camera appearances, interviews, and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, events, and commercial teams to develop integrated content initiatives.

WatchTime is the leading special-interest magazine for luxury watches in the United

States and Germany. Within its media ecosystem, it also operates as a licensing

partner for international collaborators, including markets such as China, India and

Japan. Our editorial teams create high-quality, compelling content for influential

audiences and foster a workplace built on transparency, respect, and shared values.

For our team in New York, we are currently looking for support in the role of an

EDITOR.

Our ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with editorial expertise, and a strong

understanding of the luxury watch industry. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role:

From breaking watch news and hands-on reviews to interviewing industry leaders,

presenting on camera, and developing social-first content, this role is at the heart of

WatchTime’s editorial presence. Spanning digital, print, social media, video, and

events, it combines global storytelling with local relevance to grow audiences,

deepen engagement, and strengthen the brand across every platform.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of the watch industry, luxury market, and key brands, products, and terminology.
  • Minimum of three years experience in editorial, digital publishing, social media, video production, or a related content role, preferably within an international media organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and on-brand content across multiple formats.
  • Solid understanding of digital publishing, audience development, and content performance across websites and social media platforms.
  • Confident on-camera presence with experience presenting, interviewing, or hosting video and live content.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across editorial, commercial, and events teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for helping shape and grow a modern, multi-platform media brand.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Fluent in English; German and/or French language skills are an advantage.
  • Photography and/or videography experience is a plus.
  • Candidates based in the New York City metropolitan area or the Northeast United States are preferred.

Global Editorial Director with a dotted line to Operational Director, WatchTime U.S.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience (DOE)
