Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an experienced EDI Integrations Developer in Ohio to enhance supply chain data exchange and software integrations. You will design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions and support Smithfield’s EDI System Integration landscape.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, developing within SCBN, and collaborating with IT and business teams to meet security and compliance standards. A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with EDI or integration systems (e.g., Boomi, GoAnywhere, EDI-X12, SAP IDOC).
• Familiarity with EDI/documents and warehouse data flows.
• Knowledge of vendor/service management practices including SLAs.
• Basic SAP SD/MM knowledge relevant to EDI outputs and partner profiles.
• Experience with middleware and integration platforms (Dell Boomi, IBM APIC).
• Understanding of IT design concepts, standards, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide EDI integration support and development within IBM Sterling Cloud Business Network (SCBN).
• Assist middleware resources in translating business requirements into detailed integration designs with guidance from engineering teams.
• Collaborate with integrations and project teams to coordinate delivery with business and tech stakeholders.
• Contribute to transforming legacy integrations to Smithfield’s standards for reusability and reliability.
• Ensure all integration solutions comply with IT security policies and controls.
