Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is actively seeking an EDI Developer (C#/.NET) for a 06+ month contract, remote in the U.S. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting healthcare EDI applications with HIPAA X12 transactions (834, 837, 270/271).

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise apps with C# and .NET.
• Healthcare EDI experience with HIPAA X12 (834, 837, 270/271).
• Experience with GoAnywhere MFT or comparable MFT platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills for data investigation and reporting.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs with enterprise systems.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical designs and work in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise healthcare EDI apps using C#/.NET.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented EDI Developer (C#/.NET). This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in U.S(Remote).

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, enhance, deploy, and maintain enterprise healthcare EDI applications using C#/.NET.
• Develop and support healthcare EDI integrations involving HIPAA X12 transactions, particularly 834 enrollment, 837 claims, and 270/271 eligibility transactions.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot application code to support business requirements and ongoing platform enhancements.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server queries and T-SQL scripts to investigate data issues, validate records, and support reporting requirements.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, high-level designs, and low-level design documents.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with upstream and downstream enterprise systems.
• Support EDI data exchange workflows and managed file transfer solutions, including GoAnywhere MFT or equivalent integration technologies.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployments, and CI/CD pipeline activities.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, architects, and other stakeholders within an Agile development team.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues and provide production support when required, following appropriate controls for sensitive member and healthcare data.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks, troubleshooting workflows, and support activities using Python, scripting, and AI-assisted solutions.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Experience with GoAnywhere MFT or comparable managed file transfer and integration platforms.
• Familiarity with additional healthcare X12 transactions, including 835 and 276/277.
• Experience with Python scripting, automation, or scripting-based operational support.
• Exposure to generative AI, agentic AI, AI-assisted development, or automated troubleshooting workflows.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, queues, and topics.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitHub Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with cloud integrations, enterprise security practices, and sensitive healthcare data.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
• Practical experience with healthcare EDI and HIPAA X12 transactions, particularly 834, 837, and 270/271.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including writing queries, investigating data issues, and troubleshooting database-related problems.
• Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs and enterprise applications.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
