The role emphasizes hands-on implementation (about 80%) and incident support (about 20%), with on-call rotations and collaboration across security, network, and vendor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in network/security/edge security or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with WAF or application protection technologies (Akamai/Cloudflare preferred).
• Experience onboarding applications, policy implementation, and traffic analysis.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS, DNS, proxies and CDN concepts.

Responsibilities

• Operate, tune, and improve WAF and edge security platforms.
• Onboard internet-facing applications and implement protections and controls.
• Analyze traffic and security events to identify threats and improve policies.
• Troubleshoot WAF blocks, TLS/certificates, DNS, and edge issues.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and vendor teams; support incident response.
