Job summary

Energyminer Gmbh is seeking an Edge Systems Engineer (IoT / Infrastructure) to develop software for the innovative Energyfish micro-hydro power system. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or related field and experience with Linux, backend development, and distributed systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work on live systems that support renewable energy solutions, with flexibility for hybrid work near Munich.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Linux systems and debugging.
• Experience with backend development (Python or similar).
• Solid understanding of networking and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker / containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop the software stack for Energyfish edge devices (Raspberry Pi-based systems).
• Build and maintain services for local network components and cloud systems.
• Debug and improve system reliability across the full stack.
