Job summary

TARGAN Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Edge team building the software platform behind our industrial products.

You will design, build, and operate the distributed edge-to-cloud pipeline that ingests high-rate sensor data on the production floor and forwards it to the cloud over intermittent connectivity. This hands-on backend role covers containerized .NET services, databases, pub/sub messaging, and integration with PLCs.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems.
Experience delivering distributed backend systems at edge/IoT scale.
Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, controls, or research teams.

Responsibilities

Design and implement backend services in C# on .NET Core for edge platforms.
Own the data pipeline from device ingest to cloud archive.
Build and maintain containerized services and deployment manifests.
Integrate with industrial controllers over fieldbus and industrial protocols.
Deliver features end-to-end including tests, CI, and field validation.
Contribute to architecture docs and drive maintainability as the product grows.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with Controls, HMI, DevOps, Field Support.
Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
