Job summary

Kform is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer II in Sterling, VA to own end-to-end digital architectures spanning hardware, networks, AI, and software. You will design, implement, and integrate edge devices, gateways, sensors, and backend services using Python, Rust, and modern web tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting networked systems.
• Experience configuring managed Ethernet switches & network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, firewall concepts, and segmentation.
• Strong software development experience using Python and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design physical and logical architectures for connected products and edge computing systems.
• Configure and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, PoE, and gateways.
• Develop full‑stack software using Python, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related tech.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, and AI-enabled services.
• Create and maintain system diagrams, configuration standards, and deployment docs.
• Lead integration, testing, and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and AI services.
