Job summary

Mind Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer for Edge & Field Systems to join early on as a founding team member. You will ship code that runs on real hardware in factories and help harden the existing stack for scale across multiple sites.

This role blends hands-on development with systems engineering across the edge and field layers. You will own field data workflows, from device management to real-time monitoring, and collaborate with product, research, and operations to ensure reliability

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong fundamentals across edge devices, services, and local data pipelines.
• Experience with edge computing, device or fleet management, real-time systems, robotics or sensor systems.
• Ownership mindset: shipped features from prototype to production in the field.
• Clear communication with product, research, and operations partners.
• Hands-on experience with sensor data and related monitoring infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop or simulation testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build the field capture stack with edge software for data collection rigs and real-time data quality monitoring.
• Ship the teleop stack including metrics, task management, and operator tooling.
• Contribute to integration and validation testing with hardware-in-the-loop setups.
• Develop monitoring dashboards for fleet health, capture quality, and station uptime across sites.
• Make deployment repeatable with tooling and configuration systems for new sites.
• Support the field by debugging live systems and collaborating with site operations and operators.
