Job summary

CBTS seeks engineers to design and deploy edge computing architectures for battery production lines (HEV, BEV, PHEV). You will integrate PLCs, vision systems, and sensors using OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP, and develop real-time edge apps with Inductive Ignition for QA and downtime reduction.

The role requires working with OT/IT integration and enabling cloud connectivity to Azure or AWS IoT, with a focus on predictive maintenance and edge container deployments using Docker and

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Mitsubishi, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherNet/IP).
• Familiarity with robotic automation systems (FANUC preferred).
• Experience with SCADA and MES systems (Ignition preferred) used in automotive production.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu based Linux edge devices and industrial PCs.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking (Cisco, Hirshmann) and OT/IT integration.

• Design and deploy edge computing architectures across all battery production lines (HEV , BEV, PHEV)
• Integrate data from PLCs, robotic systems (Mistubishi, Allen Bradley), vision systems, and augmented sensors using industrial protocols such as OPC UA, SLMP, MQTT, and EtherNet/IP
• Develop and maintain real-time edge applications using Inductive Ignition that support quality assurance, production monitoring, and downtime reduction
• Enable seamless connectivity between OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) and enterprise/cloud platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Ansible)
• Support predictive maintenance initiatives to minimize equipment failure and unplanned downtime
• Deploy and manage containerized applications at the edge (Docker, Kubernetes-based solutions)
