Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technical Staff Engineer – Product Marketing in the US to accelerate adoption of PIC64 64‑bit multicore MPUs/SoCs. You will engage with sales, engineering, and customers across Aerospace, Defense and Industrial markets to drive design wins and market readiness.

You will help define value propositions, support GTM activities, and contribute to roadmap decisions based on market insights and customer feedback.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required for eligibility.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2.5+ years in product management/marketing roles dealing with embedded processors, MPUs or SoCs.
• Experience with 64-bit embedded compute platforms; Arm or RISC-V preferred.
• Strong customer-facing experience engaging with senior technical decision-makers.
• Direct exposure to mission-critical embedded markets (A&D or Industrial).
• Familiarity with long product lifecycles and qualification requirements.
• Cross-functional work with hardware, software, systems engineering, sales and marketing.
• Ability to translate market/customer insight into product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as product/market expert for sales teams, ecosystem partners, and decision-makers.
• Drive design-win engagements for strategic accounts in Aerospace, Defense and Industrial markets.
• Build and maintain senior customer relationships across engineering, product management, procurement and program leadership.
• Gather market signals and customer feedback to shape priorities.
• Support ecosystem growth across silicon, software, tools, OS and third-party collaborators.
• Develop high-quality customer-facing and sales collateral (presentations, briefs, white papers, blogs).
• Support product launches via go-to-market planning, sales readiness, and training.
• Help define value propositions and positioning for PIC64 platforms.
• Contribute to product strategy, roadmap and portfolio planning based on market trends.
