Job summary

ByteDance's Platform Engineering team sits at the core of the company's global traffic infrastructure. We build and operate edge cloud products and a resource operation framework powering TikTok's worldwide services, focusing on stable, cost-efficient infrastructure for internal and external users.

We seek engineers to own end-to-end design of edge cloud products, build a full-lifecycle resource operation platform, and develop unified resource pool management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of R&D experience in cloud platform, cloud-native, or edge infrastructure domains.
• Proficient in Go / C++ / Python with backend experience.
• Strong Kubernetes understanding and large-scale cluster ops.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and iteration of core edge cloud products (container, bare-metal, network).
• Build a full-lifecycle resource operation platform: planning, provisioning, delivery, runtime, billing.
• Develop a unified resource pool management platform integrating self-hosted and third‑party clouds.
