Job summary

Apple is seeking an experienced Capacity & Infrastructure Manager for its Edge Services. You will own end-to-end capacity planning for CDN edge and origin infrastructure, with short-, mid-, and long-term forecasting, while ensuring headroom and reliability.

Collaborate with network engineering, SRE, and procurement to plan hardware deployments, lead times, and cost control, using data-driven models to prevent over- or under-provisioning at global scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in capacity planning, infrastructure engineering, or network operations in CDN/cloud/large-scale systems.
• Forecasting infrastructure capacity using traffic/usage data.
• Understanding CDN edge/PoP design, caching, traffic routing, origin shielding.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CDN edge and origin capacity planning across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons.
• Analyze traffic patterns and utilization to identify capacity risks.
• Coordinate hardware deployments, decommissions, and capacity rebalancing with network engineering and SRE.
• Build dashboards and reports tracking utilization, headroom, and forecast accuracy.
• Lead capacity readiness reviews ahead of major traffic events; manage vendor and colo lead times.
