Job summary

Ambarella's AI Vision Processors for Edge Applications team seeks a talented microcode summer intern to design, implement and test advanced imaging and video algorithms on our proprietary SoCs. You will collaborate with world-class scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality video across automotive, IP-security and other markets.

The internship focuses on firmware and tools development for camera markets, offering hands-on work with DSP architecture, code development, testing and research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, computer engineering, CS or equivalent; current master’s students preferred.
• Solid experience with C or C++.
• Some experience with assembly language development and debugging.
• Solid knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
• Understand modern computer architecture and data synchronization.
• Familiar with modern software development practices (code reviews, unit testing).
• Familiarity with image processing and video compression standards (MPEG, H.264/265).
• Familiarity with Neural Network frameworks (TensorFlow, Caffe, PyTorch).
• Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test microcode for Ambarella’s DSP architecture.
• Design and develop microcode within algorithm and DSP boundaries.
• Research papers and implement DSP ideas.
• Develop test codes for hardware blocks.
