Job summary

Bose Corporation is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Systems Architect, Edge AI to design and drive architecture across embedded hardware, software, and AI-enabled platforms. You will build scalable Bose IP and simulations from wearables to phones and PCs, leading engineering teams and external partners.

You will pioneer agentic AI workflows, assess feasibility, and ensure security, latency, and power targets while shaping Bose's edge AI roadmap in Framingham, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Systems Eng or related field (or equivalent).
• Significant experience architecting embedded hardware and software systems.
• Strong systems architecture across hardware and software.
• Experience with embedded processors, SoCs, DSPs, RTOS and Linux-based platforms.
• Strong knowledge of digital audio signal processing and audio system architectures.
• Experience deploying ML models on embedded/edge devices.
• Understanding of edge-ML constraints: compute, memory, power, latency, hardware acceleration.
• Proven track record of solving meaningful technical problems with AI.

Responsibilities

• Architect complex embedded hardware/software solutions for Bose technologies.
• Evaluate concepts for feasibility, tradeoffs, risk, and scalability.
• Translate audio, sensing, ML, and AI into reusable architectures.
• Build simulations, prototypes, and experiments to assess solutions.
• Develop agentic AI workflows and AI-enabled engineering infrastructure.
• Stress-test architectures for power, compute, memory, latency and security.
• Lead technical design across Bose Labs, teams, suppliers, and partners.
• Influence Bose technology roadmap with embedded AI and edge computing.
