Job summary

Quadric seeks an AI Kernel Engineer Intern to work with senior engineers on enabling AI/LLM models to run efficiently on the Quadric platform. You will develop kernels, profile performance, and optimize C/C++ code to maximize hardware utilization, contributing to the real-time edge AI stack.

The role emphasizes hands-on kernel development, hardware-aware optimization, and collaboration across the AI inference stack, with relocation to the Burlingame office preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture and hardware-software interaction.
• Demonstrated capability in problem-solving and clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI/LLM kernels and operators on the Quadric platform for efficient inference.
• Profile kernel performance across compute, data, and parallelism to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize C/C++ code for hardware utilization.
• Contribute to improvements in the Quadric toolchain, compiler, and runtime.
