Job summary

Our Eden Prairie family is seeking a part-time nanny to care for our 2-year-old and support a new baby arriving this fall. The role runs 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, three days per week, with scheduling flexibility for select weekdays. We offer a warm, pet-free home and prioritize respectful, engaging interactions.

We value calm, patient caregivers who use positive reinforcement and provide creative, age-appropriate activities, with outdoor exploration and learning opportunities every day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
• Must have experience with infants.
• Distraction and redirection over discipline; calm under pressure; patient; uses positive reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Activity Planning: Designing age-appropriate activities with outdoor exploration and sensory play.
• Child-Related Tasks: Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, light housekeeping related to the child.
• Routine Management: Keeping the child on a consistent schedule for meals, play, and naps.
• Engaging Care: Providing dedicated companionship to ease transitions and keep the child engaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Activity Planning: Designing and implementing creative, age-appropriate activities, with a heavy emphasis on outdoor exploration and educational sensory play.
• Child-Related Tasks: Preparing nutritious meals and snacks, handling the children's laundry, and managing light housekeeping related to his daily activities.
• Routine Management: Keeping our son on a consistent schedule for meals, play, and naps to ensure he feels secure, safe, and comfortable. Consistent love and care to our infant.
• Engaging Care: Providing dedicated companionship to ease his current transition/clingy phase, keeping him actively distracted and engaged throughout the day.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience is required. Must have experience with infants.
• Care Philosophy: We strongly practice distraction and redirection over discipline. We are looking for someone who remains calm under pressure, patient, and uses positive reinforcement and enthusiasm to guide toddler behavior.
