Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking a meticulous NDT Inspector to perform Eddy-Current inspections on flight-critical hardware, ensuring safety and reliability of our fully reusable orbital system. You will read and interpret drawings, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, and help advance non-destructive testing methods.

The role requires Level II certification (or eligible Level II path with Stoke funding) and a strong commitment to quality, ownership, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be certified Level II NDT inspector per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance in Eddy Current (ET) OR an experienced Level I. Stoke Space will pay for Level II training.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards such as AWS D17.1.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate equipment to perform Eddy-Current inspections on flight-critical hardware (welds, tubes, complex machined parts) per industry standards and internal procedures.
• Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results against drawings and acceptance criteria; produce detailed reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and welding teams to schedule inspections and relay findings to improve hardware quality.
• Assist in developing, refining, and validating NDT procedures and inspection techniques for new products and complex geometries.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Level I technicians and trainees to support team development and ensure consistent quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with industry advances and researching new inspection capabilities.
