Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking a qualified NDT Eddy Current ET II Technician for full-time, on-site work in Trainer, PA. The ideal candidate has experience inspecting metal tubing in heat exchangers, boilers, condensers and related equipment using eddy current testing to detect flaws without damaging tubes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for UT/RT/MT/PT.
• NDE Level II certification with 1 year experience or Level I with field hours for Level II, on UT/RT/MT/PT.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
• Interpret, evaluate and document results.
• Be familiar with scope and limitations of the method and supervise trainees.
• Familiar with codes, standards and contractual documents used by the employer.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
• Edit and present numerical data effectively.
