Job summary
Tyrone Family Dentistry, supported by Heartland Dental, is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our team in Tyrone, GA. You will support clinical care, maintain patient comfort, manage supplies, and assist in emergencies while adhering to safety protocols.
The role offers opportunities for continuing education, a collaborative team environment, and potential for vacation time. Training may require travel and overnight stays. A dental assisting certificate is a plus.
Qualifications
- Positive, outgoing personality and excellent interpersonal communication.
- Solid knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Good manual dexterity and computer proficiency; able to learn new programs.
- Willingness to travel for training about every other month, including overnight stays.
- Dental assisting certificate is a plus.
- Previous dental practice experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain lab equipment.
- Take and develop X-rays and provide post-operative care.
- Record medical and dental history and vital signs.
- Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies.
- Participate in continuing education and training offered by Heartland Dental.
