The Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking an Unit Director for the Emergency Department who will serve as clinical and business manager for designated patient care units. You will provide direction, vision and systems to ensure exemplary patient care aligned with Rush policies and values.

Responsibilities include leading quality initiatives, shaping evidence-based practice, and mentoring staff while navigating complex organizational dynamics to improve patient outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS certification for Unit Directors of ED/ICU/Telemetry/Endoscopy/PACU.
• National certification required within 24 months unless noted otherwise.
• Graduate degree; must pursue certification within 24 months of start.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use electronic business programs and technology.
• Ability to navigate complex organizational systems and lead others.
• Effective communication to lead, teach and persuade peers.
