Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $23.33 – $35.02.

This role supports ED operations under RN/Physician direction, including patient care, observation, and timely communication of changes in condition. Preferred candidates have CNA/MA/EMT background and BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Accredited program required: Medical Assistant or Accredited program required: Emergency Medical Technician.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as CNA/MA/EMT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Knowledge of age-specific growth and development principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care and vital signs; receive patients from triage or ambulance.
• Set up and assist with procedures; observe patients and report changes.
• Maintain unit supplies and keep care areas clean; perform clerical duties and order entry.
• Ensure accurate documentation and use of computer systems for results and orders.
