Job summary

Olean General Hospital in New York is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support RNs in patient care in the OGH Emergency Room. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, preparing samples for analysis, and performing ECGs and waived tests during shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma; one year of clinical experience is preferred. Standard bi-weekly schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM; onsite work with weekend/holiday requirements.

Job Description: To perform a variety of patient care activities for emergency patients as directed by a Registered Professional Nurse including but not limited to obtaining blood/urine/stool samples for laboratory and microbiology testing; receive and prepare samples for analysis; complete electrocardiograms and waive testing such as glucometers, dip sticks, and urine pregnancy test.

Education And Credentials: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience: One (1) year clinical experience preferred.
