Job summary

Indiana University Health, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time night shift caregiver to support emergency department care, performing routine patient tasks and assisting nurses with critically ill and stable patients.

You will transport patients, record vital signs, stock and clean care areas, and assist with equipment operation under supervision. A high school diploma and BLS are required; EMT or PCA certification is preferred, with some hospital care experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• EMT or PCA certification is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures.
• Requires familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies.
• Requires basic understanding of infection control.
• Requires Knowledge of EMTALA.
• Some experience in patient care within a hospital setting is preferred.

Assists in the operation of various equipment.

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
