Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a PRN nurse aide to support Emergency Department patient care on an as-needed basis. The position requires one shift per week (10:00–22:30), with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will assist in routine and special patient care procedures under the supervision of a clinical nurse. Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, transporting patients, stocking and cleaning care areas, and operating standard medical equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• EMT or PCA certification is preferred.
• Some hospital patient care experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies.

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• EMT or PCA certification is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of routine patient care procedures.
• Requires familiarity with standard medical equipment and supplies.
• Requires basic understanding of infection control.
• Requires Knowledge of EMTALA
• Some experience in patient care within a hospital setting is preferred.
