Job summary

Mast Landing School in Maine is seeking an Educational Technician to support students in the Functional Life Skills program for grades 3-5. You will work closely with special education staff to assist with academic tasks, communication, social-emotional development and daily living skills.

The ideal candidate is patient, collaborative, and dedicated to helping students build independence. Must hold 023-Ed Tech III Certification from the ME Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid 023-Ed Tech III Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
• Experience supporting students in a Functional Life Skills program is preferred.
• Ability to implement IEP goals and behavior supports.

Mast Landing School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Technician to support students in grades 3-5 within our Functional Life Skills program. This role involves working closely with special education staff to support students with academic tasks, communication, social-emotional development, behavioral regulation, and daily living skills in both individual and small group settings.

The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, collaborative, and passionate about helping students build independence and reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities may include implementing IEP goals, support positive behavior plans, assisting with personal care needs, facilitating communication and social interactions, and helping students access instruction and school routines across settings.

Pay for this position is based on the CEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Appendix B and ranges from $25.66 to $28.91 hourly, depending on experience. This position will also receive a $1.50/hour differential due to the regular assignment of responsibilities that include feeding, toileting, personal care/hygiene, and/or the physical restraint of students.

Requirements

Must hold valid 023-Ed Tech III Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
