Job summary

Servingschools is seeking a certified Educational Technician II or III for Long Island School in the Portland area to support and supervise students, deliver small group instruction, and assist the teacher on a 34-hour work week.

Pay is competitive, between $25 and $30 per hour, commensurate with certification level and experience, with work aligned to student days and teacher PD days.

Qualifications

• Must hold Me DOE Ed Tech 2 or 3 certification.
• Experience delivering instruction and supervising students preferred.
• Ability to transport students when needed and work with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive collaborative team player.
• Protect confidentiality of student, parent and employee information.
• Deliver individual and small group instruction.
• Plan and prep lessons/activities under teacher direction.
• Support teacher planning and prep through collaboration or clerical tasks.
• Record student progress during lessons/assessments.
• Supervise students during recess and lunch.
• Transport students or visiting staff/consultants.
• Participate in professional development and maintain the Me DOE Ed Tech 2 or 3 Certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
