Job summary

Hermon School Department is seeking an Educational Technician to join our K–4 special education team. You will support students with behavioral, academic, and social goals, and help implement IEPs and behavior plans.

You will work with Special Education Teachers, related service providers, and BCBA to foster a safe, inclusive classroom and maintain accurate progress notes, communicating with families as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maine DOE CHRC background check.
• Maine DOE Ed Tech I Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Support students in reaching behavioral, academic, and social goals.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with communication, social skills, and safety instruction.
• Implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans.
• Keep accurate daily documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families.
