Enloe Medical Center, Inc. in Chico, CA is seeking an ED Tech I to support patient flow in the Emergency Department. Under RN supervision, you will obtain vital signs, assist with rooming patients, and help clinicians during evaluations in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have EMT or Military Corpsman training or at least six months of ED/pre-hospital experience, CPR certification, and EMR familiarity; strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: EMT or Military Corpsman, or six months emergency department or pre-hospital experience.
• Current CPR Certification is required.

The ED Technician provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They may perform selected procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual. Patient care would include: obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining specimens, preparing, and assisting patients for clinician evaluation, and assisting clinician. They will see that the area is orderly, well stocked with supplies and equipment is ready for use.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum:Previous medical training such as EMT or Military Corpsman **OR** six months emergency department or pre-hospital experience Desired:One year experience on an ambulance or in an emergency department LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:Current CPR CertificationSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Must demonstrate technical competence and capable of using electronic medical records and centralized monitoring systems.
