Job summary

Inspira Health in Mullica Hill, NJ seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support RNs and physicians in delivering patient care in the busy ED.

Under supervision you will help maintain the care environment and assist with patient care tasks, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Applicants should have a high school diploma; EMT or nursing assistant experience is preferred, and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as EMT, nursing assistant, paramedic, or RN student (completed first year) preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• CPI initial training for new hires within 60 days followed by annual de-escalation training.

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians, assists in the provision of patient care and with maintaining the patient care environment in the Emergency Department. Emergency Department Technicians shall not function as regulated/licensed professional.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Experience: High school education or its equivalent. Previous experience as a certified EMT or nursing assistant, paramedic or RN student (completed first year) preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

American Heart Association BLS required CPI initial for new hires within 60 days followed by annual de-escalation training provided by Inspira.
