Job summary

Education Program Maine in Central Maine is hiring multiple Ed Techs and BHP professionals for both school year and substitute roles. Pay ranges from $20.00–$25.00+ per hour for year-round staff and $140 per day for substitutes, with immediate start and a Monday–Friday day shift.

Roles involve supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, helping them achieve IEP goals, and teaching coping skills in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• Ed Tech I, II, or III certification through the Maine Department of Education
• BHP certification or willingness to become certified
• Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral, emotional, or educational needs preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid Maine driver's license
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to helping students succeed
• Ability to pass background and reference checks

Responsibilities

• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Assist students in achieving academic progress and IEP goals
• Teach positive coping skills, safe boundaries, and healthy relationship-building
• Encourage behavioral growth and support successful outcomes in school and the community
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success
