Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This part-time position (16 hours) includes day shifts in a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED that handles STEMI and psychiatric patients and features an on-site radiology suite.

Candidates should hold an ADN with BSN preferred, Virginia RN license, BLS, and preferably TNCC with ED experience. Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation for this role.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Virginia or compact RN license in good standing.
• BLS required; TNCC preferred.
• Hospital ED experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with stroke and STEMI patient care.
• Perform assessments, plan and implement care, and coordinate teaching and health promotion.
• Collaborate with ED team to ensure quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
