UP Health System - Portage is seeking an ED RN to join our urgent care team. You will care for patients, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team during swing, night and day shifts.

Requirements include Michigan RN license (or within 90 days), an associate degree in nursing, BLS, and 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience; ED or Critical Care experience preferred. ACLS/PALS/TNCC within 6 months and influenza vaccination are required.

Qualificações

• Current Michigan RN license (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
• 1 year Medical-Surgical experience required.
• 1 year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC within 6 months of hire.
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Responsabilidades

• Cares for patients and administers medications per established best practices and training.
• Accurately documents patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and hygiene.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team, including transfers and discharges.
• Provide patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocate for patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a safe, pleasant patient environment and privacy of health information.
• Record and report any untoward events during sitter duties.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
