Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant at Burlington Hospital in New Jersey. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/LPN, you assist patients with daily living activities and support the healthcare team while upholding high standards of ethics and care.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, grooming, vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, and communicating changes in patient status to RNs. Hourly rate $19.54–$29.20 with per diem schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care skills and standards.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing and catheter care as directed.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies status changes and communicates with RN/LPN promptly.
• Reinforces patient and family education and participates in satisfaction initiatives.
