Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or GED and completion of a paramedic education program.
• Licensed by the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board as a Paramedic.
• Certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a Paramedic is preferred upon hire but required within 6 months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS at time of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
• PALS is preferred on hire but required within 6 months of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and coordinate patient needs upon arrival to Regions Hospital Emergency Department.
• Document and carry out physician and RN orders in the ED in a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with RNs and medical providers and perform related duties as assigned.
