Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of ED Observation physicians.
• Oversight of quality measures and outcomes for the ED Obs program.
• Liaise with referring physicians and address their concerns.
• Provide feedback on performance of ED Obs physicians (clinical/administrative).
• Ensure patients meet quality and satisfaction guidelines per regulators/payors.
• Serve as liaison between ED Obs and other clinical departments.
• Ensure timely patient communication and responsive Q&A.
• Collaborate with health-system areas to meet ED Obs goals.
• Work with nursing to design and implement care protocols for optimal hospital care.
