Job summary

Northwest Health is seeking an RN Charge to oversee nursing unit operations during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care. You will supervise staff, coordinate care with healthcare teams, and uphold hospital policies while fostering a positive work environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience with current RN licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred. You will participate in quality improvement and ensure safe, efficient care delivery across the unit.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Current RN license (state or compact) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing and support staff, delegating tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Oversee assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure effective communication among physicians, patients, families, and departments; manage handoffs and huddles.
• Monitor patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization.
• Conduct rounds to evaluate care delivery and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control protocols, and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Ensure supplies are available and used cost-effectively.
• Facilitate ongoing education and professional development for staff.
• Lead infection prevention by auditing and training staff on PPE and hygiene.
• Respond to emergencies within the unit with leadership and direct care as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned; maintain attendance; comply with policies.
