Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator to oversee patient movement through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. You will coordinate patient care activities and act as a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure timely, high-quality care.

This role requires teamwork, leadership and professionalism, with responsibilities including delegating workload and supporting quality and process improvement initiatives to optimize patient

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree of Nursing preferred.
• RN license Georgia required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required.
• CEN - Certified Emergency Nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner.
• Liaise with the ED medical staff to ensure care can be delivered efficiently and safely.
• Delegate workload and model teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Education

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required


• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required


• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required


• ACLS Required
