Job summary

Beanstalk Academy seeks an Education Director to lead multiple locations, overseeing facilities management, staffing, program administration, and parent communication. You will ensure compliance with licensing rules and coordinate services for children with disabilities and behavioral needs.

The role requires NYS Certification for Early Childhood Education Birth to Grade 2, and 2+ years of teaching/supervising experience. The position is in-person with relocation to Bronx, NY 10456 as needed.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification for Early Childhood Education Birth to Grade 2 is required.
• F07 and S95 are required or willing to obtain them upon hire.
• Familiarity with the Creative Curriculum, ECERS, and Teaching Strategies Gold is preferred.
• Two years or more of teaching and supervising experience in a similar position.

Beanstalk Academy, a leading full-service child care and early education provider with 10+ locations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, is seeking an exceptional Education Director to lead several of our locations. As an Education Director at Beanstalk Academy, you will be responsible for overseeing facilities management, staffing management, program administration, and parental communication and involvement.

Responsibilities

• Facilities Management: Work with teachers to ensure that all classrooms are safe, attractive, and developmentally appropriate.
• Staffing Management: Supervise the overall program, including office managers, teachers, teaching assistants, family workers, janitors, and cooks.
• Program Administration: Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations.
• Parental Communication and Involvement: Familiarize parents with school policies and provide new parents with orientation. Assist parents to plan, facilitate, and coordinate services for children with disabilities and behavioral needs.

Requirements

• NYS Certification for Early Childhood Education Birth to Grade 2 (Required)
• F07 and S95 (Required or willing to obtain them upon hire)
• Student Building Leadership/Student District Leadership Certification (Preferred)
• Two years or more of teaching and supervising experience in a similar position
• Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand.
• Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.
• Familiarity with the Creative Curriculum, ECERS, and Teaching Strategies Gold
