Job summary

Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center in Mint Hill, NC, is seeking an Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED alongside physicians, nurses and the interdisciplinary team.

You will optimize medication therapy, respond to critical emergencies, participate in central dispensing and mentor staff, with a 7-on/7-off schedule and opportunities for professional growth and community health impact.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy.
• Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required.
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease residency OR 2 years clinical ID experience for infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Facilitate pharmaceutical care services and drug utilization activities.
• Monitor patients, review charts for drug-related problems, and propose evidence-based recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in emergencies.
• Assist in discharge medication review, reconciliation, and counseling as appropriate.
• Oversee pharmacy operations and contribute to staff mentorship and education.
