Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a Clinical Educator Nursing (RN) for the Emergency Department. You will work with the ED, Healthplex, and Oakville units to assess and advance nursing practice and patient safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree or BSN with enrollment in a MSN program, has 2 years of progressive nursing experience in the ED or related specialty, and at least 3 months as a preceptor. BLS certification and Virginia RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or BSN with enrollment in a Master’s program at start.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in designated specialty.
• 3 months of experience serving as a preceptor.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Licensed or eligible for Virginia RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and safety goals.
• Integrate theory and evidence-based practice into educational experiences for staff.
