Job summary

Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Emergency Department with direct patient care and essential unit operations. The role requires a high school diploma and PA Nursing Assistant Certification, plus at least six months of patient care experience.

The position involves vital signs, EKGs, patient transport, documentation, and round-the-clock support in a fast-paced hospital setting. 36 hours per week, varied shifts, non-exempt status.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and basic treatments.
• Register patients in the registration area accurately.
• Communicate patient information to the nurse promptly.
• Perform EKGs as needed.
• Answer call lights and conduct rounds to meet patient/family needs.
• Document tasks per policy for all ages.
• Clean and maintain patient equipment; report defects.
• Transport patients and perform courier duties for the department.
• Respond to emergencies (Code 68/99/44) efficiently.
• Restock supplies and maintain unit inventories per logs.
• Record temperature logs per unit checklist.
• Maintain a clean, orderly nursing unit and workspaces.
• Support other duties as assigned.
