Schedule: Full Time

Shift: 1830-0700 EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

The community you’ll be caring for:

• AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital
• Located near Walt Disney World
• Dedicated to mission-focused, faith-based care for Osceola and Orange Counties
• Recently expanded with an additional 3 floors and 80 beds, including new services

The role you’ll contribute:

The ED Advanced Multi Tech performs patient care under supervision, assisting with clinical, non-clinical, and clerical tasks to ensure efficient unit functioning. Uses age-specific competencies, adheres to compliance and safety standards, and participates in delivering outstanding customer service.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Attach 12 lead EKGs, perform cardiac monitoring, detect dysrhythmias, and notify staff of abnormalities. Initiate oxygen therapy and perform venipuncture.
• Insert IV and IO access, administer IV fluids, and monitor infusion sites.
• Transport patients, assist with procedures, apply dressings and splints, and follow safety and infection control protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service using AIDET, perform hourly rounding, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Accurately enter orders into Epic, obtain medical history, and administer ACLS medications under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, manage communications, and perform administrative duties as needed.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Clinical competence, regulatory knowledge, effective communication, calmness under stress, organization, customer service, and basic computer skills.

Education and Experience Required:

• Completion of a paramedic program.

Preferred:

• One year ED or pre-hospital paramedic experience, Critical Care Paramedic certification, Associate of Science degree.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Valid State Licensure as a Paramedic, BLS, ACLS, and PALS or Pediatric Emergency Nursing Course (if applicable).
