Job summary

HCA Healthcare's TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Tennessee seeks an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Emergency Room, full-time with mixed shifts. Under RN supervision, you perform advanced clinical tasks and support compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will observe patients, assist with daily tasks, perform phlebotomy and telemetry, manage IVs, collect labs, and help keep care operations running smoothly in a busy ER environment.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of employment start date.
• AEMT-State certification or equivalent (certificate or associate degree)

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate with the nursing team.
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely.
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and wound care.
• Assist with collecting lab samples and clerical duties to keep care running smoothly.
• Look ahead to patient needs, respond quickly, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) , you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds

• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly

• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

• (AEMT-State) Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, or Certificate, or Associate Degree
