Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Room. The role supports nursing under RN guidance, performing advanced clinical tasks while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include patient observation, ADL assistance, phlebotomy, telemetry, IV/catheter care, and lab support. Commitment to timely certifications and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of start date.
• AEMT-State EMT, or Certificate, or Associate Degree.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes and communicate with the nursing team.
• Assist with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and mobility.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy and telemetry monitoring; remove IVs and catheters; wound care.
• Assist with lab sample collection and clerical tasks to keep care running smoothly.
• Anticipate patient needs and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (AEMT-State) Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, or Certificate, or Associate Degree
