FULLY REMOTE ROLE - Senior Counsel Emerging Companies / Venture Capital (EC / VC)

Are you looking for a unique, fully remote position at a big law firm where you'll lead sophisticated financing transactions and interact directly with some of the most well-known investors in venture capital? If so, join our client's ECVC practice in a role focused on representing the investors who support emerging growth businesses.

As part of this investor-side SWAT team, you will manage and oversee the execution of venture investments, often standing in as the partner-level resource on a deal, with a team of associates assisting your efforts. You will work on Preferred Stock financings with a range of clients, including Sand Hill Road giants, prominent corporate venture capital arms, pension plans, and sovereign wealth funds, often on the same day, from seed-stage startups to pre-IPO unicorns.

Clients in this practice represent diverse industries such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous vehicles, aviation, big data, cleantech and climate solutions, data storage, digital health and wellness, digital media and entertainment, electronic gaming, fintech, life sciences, robotics, semiconductors, software and SaaS, and web3, among other emerging and disruptive technologies.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a non-partnership track senior counsel with at least 8 years of ECVC experience, focusing on investor-side work, and a demonstrated interest in these industries. This role does not require travel or building your own book of business. Instead, you will focus on fostering investor relations and providing exceptional client service. The ideal candidate is an excellent lawyer who enjoys training associates.
