Job summary

EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC is seeking an ecotoxicology laboratory scientist to investigate how environmental contaminants affect aquatic organisms. You will conduct toxicity testing of sediment and effluent samples and generate high-quality data to support environmental decision-making.

Responsibilities include leading sediment ecotoxicology testing, managing projects, training technicians, reviewing data, and contributing to technical reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in Ecotoxicology or related field.
  • Three years experience in an ecotoxicology lab or related work.
  • Previous experience conducting and evaluating aquatic toxicity testing and data is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute sediment ecotoxicology testing within the laboratory.
  • Manage projects, including planning, coordinating, and tracking sediment testing activities.
  • Train and support technicians working on sediment ecotoxicology testing.
  • Review and manage laboratory data, including raw data review, data scanning, and statistical analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of technical reports as time permits.
